Smile Makeovers

Your smile is the first impression you make on those around you. Any type of imperfections, no matter how minor they might seem, can have a significant impact on your smile, and your confidence. There are some different factors that can affect the appearance of your smile. At Beyond Dental and Implant Center, we can help to restore, and even enhance, the beauty of your smile with a smile makeover.

Teeth Whitening

There are several factors that can contribute to tooth discoloration, including what you eat and drink, lifestyle habits, and certain medications. Teeth whitening is performed to eliminate this discoloration, restoring the bright white color to your teeth and enhancing the beauty of your smile. Professional teeth whitening can be done in one of two ways, in the office or your home. In-office treatments take one visit and an hour of your time, with results noticeable right away. If you choose to whiten your teeth at home, we custom create special trays for your mouth and provide you with these trays and the whitening gel. The trays are made to be worn twice a day for a few hours at a time or overnight while you sleep. Treatment can take up to two weeks with the results usually noticeable within the first week.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a quick, non-invasive treatment for restoring the appearance of teeth affected by minor flaws. Using a composite resin material, we can fill cracks, eliminate gaps, and completely alter the shape of your teeth. The procedure generally takes less than an hour to complete, and there is no need for any local anesthetic.

Veneers

Veneers are another option for correcting minor flaws. This treatment uses shell-like restorations, which are made from impressions of your mouth, to cover over the front surfaces of your teeth, effectively transforming the appearance of your smile. To place veneers, we first need to remove a small portion of the enamel from each tooth. Once the veneers have been created, they are bonded into place.

Crowns

Ceramic crowns are typically used to tooth damage that affects both the appearance of your smile as well as your oral health. These restorations are small cap-like structures made from impressions of your mouth. They are designed to cover over the entire visible surface of a damaged tooth, effectively holding it together, preventing further damage as well as preventing infections. Crowns also restore the strength of a damaged tooth, allowing it to function normally. Ceramic crowns also work to restore the beauty of your smile.

Dental Implants

Tooth loss can have a significant impact on the quality of your smile, as well as your oral health. Dental implants are a modern treatment used to replace missing teeth. This treatment uses small titanium posts to support your dental restorations. The posts are surgically placed directly in your jawbone. The bone fuses to the posts, allowing them to securely hold your new teeth, ceramic crowns, in place. In addition to restoring the beauty of your smile, implants stop bone loss in your jaw. This helps to preserve the shape, and aesthetics, of your face.

Treating Gum Issues

While your teeth play a significant role in the appearance of your smile, they are not the only factor. Your gums also play a critical role as well. Excess gum tissue, an uneven gumline, and gum recession can all affect your smile, regardless of how perfect your teeth are. We offer a variety of different gum treatments, including aesthetic gum lifts and gum grafting to restore your smile and your oral health.
